IHM Social Action Coordinating Commission invites you Sept. 29 7pm to hear Dan Hurley discuss "America’s Ongoing Dilemma:  Race and Class Across 400 Years.  Dan Hurley is a principal with Applied History Associates, a public history consulting firm.  Dan retired as Director of Leadership Cincinnati and Leadership Action in June 2016.

 

Since then he has served as the interim President of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and the interim host of Cincinnati Edition on 91.7 WVXU (NPR). He worked for WKRC-TV News for 36 years, including as the Executive Producer and host of Local 12 Newsmakers.

Coast to Coast Rosary Rally | October 10

You're invited to attend our Coast to Coast Rosary Rally on October 10, 2021 at 3:30pm in the church.  Archbishop Schnurr, our seminarians and others from around the area will be in attendance praying for Mary’s intercession asking for a better day and a better world.  No registration necessary.

 

Blessed Fr. McGivney’s Way Virtual 5K Charity Event | October 30

 

IHM-based Joseph Cardinal Bernardin Knights of Columbus Council #12359 invites all parishioners to participate in this virtual charity event. As a virtual event participants pick location, date, time, place and activity to their liking. This allows all to be safe and yet support the council’s mission of parish and community outreach including parish tuition assistance & scholarships, Eagle Award Scout projects, St. Vincent de Paul Family Gifts, Comboni Missions, Racetrack Ministries, InterParish Ministry, Seminarian and Clergy support, aid to developmentally challenged citizens and A Caring Place Pregnancy Help Center have benefited, to name a few.

 

This event is named in honor of Fr. Michael J. McGivney who in 1882 as a parish priest in New Haven, CT, founded the order to fortify Catholics in their faith, provide greater financial security is a world in which they faced heavy discrimination, and strengthen their self-worth. In 2020 Fr. McGivney was beautified. Today, the Knights, two million strong, continue to provide charity, unity, and fraternity to their local parishes and communities.

 

Registration is now open through November 7th, 2021. Participants register on line at www.ihmkofc12359.org  or scan the QR code below. The entry fee is $30.00 per person + service fee. NOTE: While we will try to complete all request supplies are limited. Those registering by October 1stth will be assured of receiving the event T-shirt packet. Registrants’ event packets will be available for pickup Saturday October 30 between 9 am & 1 pm at IHM’s ball field pavilion. 

 

While on campus consider completing the 5K by touring the IHM Prayer Trail: Rosary Path, Stations of The Cross Pathway, Jason’s Place – outdoor classroom, The Tender Heart of Mary, Weeping Rachel, Blessed Virgin & the Sacred Heart of Jesus areas for reflection & prayer.
