Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL)

We are living in an area where addiction has become an epidemic. Many families are struggling with their addicted loved ones. If you are one of these families, please join the IHM PAL Group the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month beginning August 14, 2018, 7–8:30 p.m. in the IHM Parish Welcome Center. Our facilitators will be Barb and Bob Isemann, registered pharmacists with personal and professional experience with this epidemic. All PAL groups open and close with a prayer, have an educational component and sharing time.

Education Topics and Discussions include:
  • Addiction cycle
  • Traits and behaviors
  • Delayed emotional growth
  • Role of family
  • Releasing your loved one
  • Emotional detachment
  • Setting realistic boundaries
  • Accepting consequences
  • Enabling behaviors
  • Financial strings
  • Steps of recovery
  • Recognizing relapse

This support group is open to family members, 18 or over, of an addicted loved ones. All meetings will be held in the second floor of the Parish Welcome Center, 7770 Beechmont Avenue, but rooms will vary due to availability. Free of charge.
