Core Nurses Group

The Core Nurses Group is an organized group of nursing professionals who serve as an excellent advisory group to the IHM Parish Nurse. From their varied healthcare experiences and backgrounds, they bring ideas and insights to meetings that help identify the health needs of the parish and ways to meet those needs in body, mind, and spirit. Likewise, as a staff member, the Parish Nurse brings relevant and current information about the parish to this group at the meetings.

Examples of the ways different health needs of the parish might be met include: suggestions on new and relevant educational presentations, development of new ministries, increasing awareness of new health problems that need to be addressed, etc.

The Core Nurses Group used to meet every other month, from September to May, on the second Wednesday of the month, from 4:30-5:30 p.m with 5 meetings each year. After the pandemic, the members of the Core Nurses Group became a part of the Health Ministry Advisory Commission. See their page under "Ministry and Commissions."
